I read Confessions of a Failed Southern Lady last week, and it was hilarious. So, after learning that Ms. King was a humorist, I picked up the next of her books that I found.
I give 2.5 stars because there were parts that were riotously funny (her essays on Updike and Bloom & Hirsch). However, a lot of the book is out of date because she was writing about the Carter administration. Sometimes I agreed with her, sometimes I didn't, and a lot of the time, she made cultural references with which I'm completely unfamiliar.
